Head of the Information Society Unit at the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC)

Pedro Hinojo is Head of the Information Society Unit, in the Competition Directorate of the National Markets and Competition Commission of Spain (CNMC), since September 2021. The unit is in charge of applying competition policy in digital markets, telecommunications, media, intellectual property and other related services. From 2014 to 2021 he had worked in the Advocacy Department of the CNMC, focused on digital markets and in general aspects of the promotion of competition culture and compliance. Previously, he had worked at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in areas related to sectoral studies, economic policy, structural reforms and economic analysis. He has a degree in Economics and a Master's in Economic Analysis.
