I work in Deloitte’s North West Europe privacy practice, specializing in the subjects of privacy by design and digital ethics. My focus is mainly on assisting large, complex organizations in the private sector that need to deal with privacy and ethical questions when providing their products and services. In practice this means taking legal and ethical requirements and translating them into processes and measures that detail how to handle and safeguard personal data from day to day.
My background is in engineering and information security, but working in the privacy and data protection field for over 11 years has also provided me with a deep knowledge of privacy rules and regulations. I am a trainer in the area of privacy and an accomplished public speaker, presenting on subjects where privacy meets technology such as PbD, IoT, Big Data and AI. I blog and vlog for the Deloitte website and other media.
