Guido Lobrano

Vice President, Europe, Information Technology Industry Council (ITI)

Guido Lobrano is Senior Vice President and Director General for Europe at ITI – the global association of the tech industry. Guido is based in Brussels, where he opened ITI’s first office in Europe.

Since 2017, he leads ITI’s engagement on the European Union’s activities impacting technology and innovation. He is in charge of the organisation’s activities on EU initiatives in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and data, privacy & cybersecurity,platform issues, environment & sustainability policy, and coordinates the work of ITI’s global team of experts on the EU international and trade activities.

Before joining ITI, Guido worked at BusinessEurope, the confederation of European industry. He was in charge of digital and tech policy and was leading the coordination of BusinessEurope’s Legal Affairs and Internal Market teams. Throughout his career, Guido covered many crucial policy debates from a cross-industry perspective, including the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Cyber Security Act, The Digital Markets Act as well as transatlantic data flows, from the Safe Harbor invalidation to Privacy Shield and the recent EU-US Data Privacy Framework.”
